    So I just got my refurbished BB Playbook and after updating it to the newest software it shut off. It doesn't charge and I've tried many chargers. Also when it does boot it goes to the black logo then the splash type logo for a while then turns off. I've tried hard reset and it also won't connect to the desktop manager. Should I send it back or is it something obvious?

    Did it work before doing the update? Or did you do the update during the initial setup?

    When you plug in a known working charger, do any lights come on?

    Personally it doesn't sound like an obvious problem .....
