My blackberry passport discharged completely and then i tried to charge it with a non blackberry charger which didnt fit exactly. At that time, it charged for a fe minutes but the phone would boot halfway and then start over. There was a constant red light after that but the ohone wouldnt switch on. Now, the phone is completey dead and the phone is not switching on at all. Please help....

Hello you said you tried charging with a charger that did not fit exactly? Some damaged could have been caused the phone itself and or USB charger port. Try holding down up and down volume keys for at least 15 seconds. Good luck

Try let the device charge say overnight with original charger and try the reset again with volume buttons. looks like totally discharged. You can use USB cable that came with and charge via a USB laptop.
