Blackberry Passport or Nokia Lumia 930?

Hello all!

I am about to sell my iPhone 5 which I have been using for 2 years. Its lower volume button aint working anymore. And I don't want to repair it as I don't like refurbished type things ha ha.

So I want to sell it and look for a new one! Naturally as an iPhone user I should be buying iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus but I honestly don't like its shape and design. And also its not available in black color so also I am opting out of iPhone.

I had upgraded from my favorite iPhone 4 (in terms of color and design I still think it was the best along with iPhone 4S especially the black one) to iPhone 5 just because of the slow performance with advancing times and I had not much information and options at that time.

At the start of 2015, I had bought Blackberry Z10 (as a side option/mobile) as I liked its look a lot. Found it stylish and also was fun to use. But the main worry was its battery life and it sucked big time. So I had to dispose it.

Now after searching the internet for more new mobile phones, Blackberry Passport caught my attention especially because of its unique shape and design and also many internet users have rated its battery highly. I was impressed by its battery life reviews especially. Personally I am more inclined towards it.

Yesterday I also went through some reviews about Nokia Lumia 930 and many have rated it highly as well. And then suddenly I starting thinking about it as well. Especially I thought that why not try a Windows phone as I had also heard that Lumia phones have a great battery life!

There are new Samsung and HTC mobile phones as well with much better features but I just don't like it. I had used HTC Wildfire S in the past and was decent according to that time.

Personally neither do I have any business work nor am I much of a gamer etc.

So now I have come to the final showdown between Blackberry Passport and Nokia Lumia 930. So I also have some questions;

Which one has the better battery life?

Which one plays 1080p quality videos better?

Which appstore is better? Blackberry OS or Windows?

Which one looks stylish? (I mean in real)

How is the keyboard of the Passport? Is it much easier and fun to use compared to the previous Blackberry keyboards?

ETC...

In the end which one shall I select?

Looking forward to get some good suggestions in order to decide between the two.

This is absolutely not true. You're confusing Windows and Android. And even Android has not been confirmed officially yet.

I had a 830 and the battery is worse then the z10. The battery of my z10 only last for max 6 hrs.

I have both phones. The Passport definitely has the better battery life. The screen is better on the Nokia, although having said that, the Passport screen is very nice. The app situation is a little different though. At the moment, the Passport wins as it is easy to put Android apps on. Not all work though, just remember that. Microsoft are betting big on Universal apps being the saviour, but the jury is still out on that.
After all I have said though, these are just my opinions. The Passport took me two weeks to get used to the width and the physical keyboard. Now I say it is the best phone I have used.
I forgot to mention, the camera on the Lumia 930 is a lot better.

Go For Lumia 830...best of all. Amazing UI gestures than BlackBerry. I have BlackBerry z3 and reading threads about all BlackBerries, all BlackBerry has bundle of problems. Even you purchase high end BlackBerry...no difference between 10000 to 50000 rupees same problem in all.and can't be resolved

My choice is blackberry passport.. because now I'm using passport it's going well like battery life,apps,camera,speed and especially unique shape and size.. but phone is heavy..up to me only drawback in passport is phone weight.. otherwise phone is gorgeous for document using and gaming performance as well smooth and speed... it has slow motion video option, 1080p 60fps, camera quality is extraordinary.

Thanks for ur concern mate! Will buy it in the first week of September! So far Blackberry Passport is leading in my limited choices!

Blackberry Passport any day.. I bought classic first but then I upgraded to passport.. And believe me it's better than every other phone out there..
Even better than an iphone..

It's screen is gorgeous.. camera quality decent.. keyboard will take you a week getting used to.. And it's the best keyboard on any smartphone..
And on top of all that you can sideload any android app on it and it works very well with 3GB of ram <3
