Blackberry passport anti-theft protection removal problem
Hi. I bought my first Blackberry (passport) through kijiji, in Toronto, and packed it with me to Turkey. It turns out the device had the anti-theft protection feature on. I contacted the seller and he emailed me back apologizing and saying that he has now removed the device from the anti-theft and turned off the feature. However, I still cannot log in with another Blackberry id, the phone is still asking to "sign in with the Blackberry ID that was used to set up this device".
Is it normal for the BB to still ask for this, if the previous owner turned off the anti-theft protection off? Is it necessary to ask the owner for his original BB login to make the phone workable and then change the account?
