    Hello, I have been trying to use my blackberry torch 9850 as a modem using my desktop software but it is not working. I have tried several of the methods provided on the forum but d result is still.the same. My carrier is verizon wireless and when I try to connect, it keeps sayin specified port not open. I queried my modem and I got the following response.
    ATQ0V1E0 - success
    AT+GMM - 9850
    AT+FCLASS=? - +FCLASS0-1)
    AT#CLS=? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    AT+GCI? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    AT+GCI=? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    ATI1 - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    ATI2 - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    ATI3 - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    ATI4 - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    ATI5 - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    ATI6 - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    ATI7 - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED

    Don't know if the problem is my phone port or phone software.
    I'm also having problems coneccting through wifi hotspot, my system connect but no internet access.

    Verizon charges extra for this feature so they most likely have it blocked.
