    Hi All,

I recently shattered the screen of my beloved Blackberry Classic. A friend ordered a new screen and promised to replace it...he has however managed to destroy the phone while taking it apart (cracked the motherboard thing) and now it won't boot anymore.

The day before he took the phone, I made a full backup with Blackberry Link.

I've been reading a bunch of stuff about using outlook, google data transfer etc but I'm a bit lost. Is it possible to access the phone numbers from Blackberry link without a new phone? If not, would I be able to transfer them to a blackberry Keyone? I really need some of the contact data in there and thought I'd be fine...currently using my good old Blackberry Bold (but I'm also unable to transfer the contact data to that phone). I can access all other files (pics etc) just fine.

Thank you for any help you can give me!

If they were synced to another source... like outlook, then you can access them.

The LINK backup is encrypted and doesn't allow for even LINK to view the data (wold have bee nice). And no the backup won't work with a KEYone.

Best solution is to buy a cheap BB10 phone (best results would be another Classic) and use it to recover your data. But even that isn't guaranteed.
