I wonder how does the "encrypted conversation" on these blackberry phones work?

Is there any special app you have to download in it or is it the software itself that is encrypted and all ordinary text messages are also encrypted or what is it valid?

How do people use theese phones to have "secret conversations"? And is it still working on theese new phones i am thinking of Blackberry Keyone, can a kind soul explain this to me? Im from sweden

There's nothing built into TCL's spin on Android that facilitates encrypted messaging, that's all up to the app chosen. Using Signal/Telegram/Threema on a KEYone wouldn't be any different as using it on any other Android phone. Using SMS on a KEYone is similarly insecure as any other Android phone, for that matter.
