I have a BB DTEK 50 (Rogers) not sure if I should be on this forum or Android (sorry)

About 50 contacts have ended up on the sim card, so many duplicate contact entries.
If I "merge" them all is well until restart then the duplicates are back!
Can I delete sim content permanently, if so how?

Also the thin white "notification / sneak peak" bar has disappeared, any ideas?

BB had a dedicated help line for DTEK I know, but they have been no help!

    Thank you,
    Brian

Somebody else can chime in but if using the stock contacts app in the settings you should be able to choose which contacts source you want in your contacts list. So you "should" be able to uncheck SIM and just leave Local Contacts I believe, but also choose Social Media contacts as well or uncheck them. So you wouldn't be deleting the contacts off the SIM, just removing them from your list getting rid of duplicates.
