Hello, im wondering what use can i give to a blackberry 9000, other than use using it for music?
In another very similar thread.. someone pointed out it would make a cheap target.
Just depends on how badly you want to use it.... some out there still find it an acceptable smartphone, some use it for beside alarm, streaming player.
i mean, i thought about using it for music and yea videos etc, but i cant be used for writing on social media and such right?
It can be... at least if you use the web versions in most cases - as I'm not sure what social media apps work on BBOS.
But if you have a modern smartphone with the apps and a PKB or a slab with predictive text... not sure how practical keeping the 9900 really is.
i have a blackberry keyone, but i thought i used it for music in the car maybe, but i dont really wanna spend money on something that wont b useful
Spend money on.... So you don't own this 9000, your thinking of buying it and then finding a use for it?
If that's the case, use the KEYone.
yep, i always wanted that phone, so its more like a just wanna buy it, and yet, find a use for it, so u just suggest that i dont buy it?
I think that's up to you on how you spend your money. Got cash burning a whole in your pocket? Go for it.
I can think of a whole lot of other things I'd rather spend my extra money on... but that's just me.
It's use is limited only by what you're willing to put into it. And even with that, there's not a lot that can be put into it. Also depends on if you plan to use it as an actual phone - which should work with the right SIM size.
If you just wanna buy it... I can't tell you what to do. Many here love collecting BlackBerries, and find much joy in ownership, without using them.
i could do that, sure, but itd be fun to find it a use too :p, thats why i thought, music, but other than that... not even emailing works
Think there are some 3rd party solutions... there is a whole tread about using a BBOS without BIS here.
It might be a hobby which can be fun... or a chore.
Reall? , omg id love to find out tho

And there have a link to another site where they are keeping things more updated
thanks man, ima check it out
Forget it, if you want an older Berry for the sake of having one, might as well have one that has SOME functionality in 2019, so get a cheap Classic
The website is here: http://darkstar.x10host.com/nibble/
Sent from my Mi A1 using Forums v1.3.3.
He has the KEYone for functionality...
Why get the imitation Classic, when he can get the real thing? ;)
Is there a way in which I can download apps for my Bold 9000? I recently got one for a very cheap price and thought of it as a collection of some sort. But I found it interesting in a way to use. Are there 3rd party websites I could download games and apps from?
In you other thread I sent you a link to someone that kinda keeps things current.
Back in the day there were lots of sites hosting apps for BBOS, but like the platform those sites have faded.
JAR/COD/JAD/DM/ALX files are harder to find, and it's harder to trust where you are getting them. And those files were always compatible with different versions of BBOS...
If you need a specific App... you might try asking for help with it.
