    Just got my new-to-me AT&T Blackberry Passport four days ago. BlackBerry Assistant worked fine initially, but now anytime she takes my voice command, she thinks for a long 20 seconds, and then says :

    "Can't connect to the voice server. Please try again later."

    I haven't done much with my Passport other than install the Google Play store and a handful of Android apps (Watch ESPN, DISH Anywhere, some medical apps)... could that be what's causing my problem?

    (Coming from Windows Phone's Cortana, I had come to rely pretty heavily on a voice assistant, particularly when driving. I wwld greatly appreciate it if someone could provide a solution. None of my searches have turned up anything...)

    Relieved to hear it's not just me... perhaps something is going on server-side? I was seriously considering wiping my device!

    I have been unable to use voice commands to type texts. This started this afternoon. I tried with both excellent wifi and 4G strength. Manual texts work just fine.

    Same thing for me on my Passport. I had started another thread titled Voice Control Server Down. It's also happening on my old Z30 and Z10, so I'd figured it must be server side. I've tweeted @BlackBeryHelp and asked if the servers are down, but they never seem like they're actually involved with anything to do with technical support...they were more interested in what device and OS I was running, even though I'd told them it was happening to three different devices I have all running different 10.3 OS versions.

    Blackberry Assistant is down for me as well. Thank goodness I found this thread; I was about to reinstall all the "nuance" files to try and get it working. I was cleaning up my phone and deleting files in File Manager so I thought I might have messed something up. For once, it was not me

    BlackBerry Assistant "Can't connect to the voice server."... PLEASE HELP!-img_20151102_214434.png this is the reply from @blackberryhelp (a misnomer if ever there was one!). They want ME to contact MY carrier to engage BlackBerry help, which would mean I'd be on hold for an hour only to be told, as I was in the past, that Rogers won't call blackberry because they get charged for it! And all for something that is clearly happening to users with different carriers in different countries for an issue that seems certain to be a BlackBerry server issue. Absolute amateur hour indeed.

    Started as well for me on my Passport - Assistant not responding and after hanging up for some time receive the message Can't connect to the voice server. Glad to hear its not just me - sucks that its even happening - hoping it gets resolved real soon.

    I have the same problem too. I am located in California. Started yesterday and did not think much of it, expecting it to work again soon, like some features of the phone, e.g. capacitive keyboard. When it still did not work this morning, I turned off the phone and back on again a couple of times but it still did not work. Usually this works to correct some glitch such as the capacitive keyboard not working properly.

    In addition to the BlackBerry Assistant not being able to take voice prompts, the Remember app also cannot take voice dictation. Frustrating!

    If you turn off full assistance from within BlackBerry Assistant you can use the voice mode, but only to dial the phone or open apps or search your device. Likely because this partial assistance is fully controlled by the device and doesn't need the servers. Now when I try the full assistance mode I don't even get a chance to speak and wait the 30 seconds for it to say it can't connect...it says it right away after pressing the mic button.
