I always thought that Blackberry phones have been the most secure devices in the market, now even more with the anti-theft protection, but and I have this friend who is a technician and he told me that with this software called "Chimera Tool" he can remove the protection, BlackBerry ID and reinstall the os, is that true the anti-theft protection is useless with that software?

Anti theft software is only on devices after 10.3.2. I would like to see some proof of this claim and this Chimera tool.

From what I've read about the Chimera tool it is able to unlock the device and correct IMEI issues and it can be used to flash device and upgrade OS but I couldn't find any details indicating that it can "hack" or break through the security software.

Would love to hear from Crackberry members who have a lot more insight in to these areas.

Might as well ask him to try it.

I tried reloading with different autoloaders over an anti-theft-enabled Z10, no dice.

I think he is telling porkies (fibs) unless he can prove it to you.
