Can anyone explain the "functional" differences between multitasking on the two platforms?
BB10 made the choice to not restrict apps from running in the background. The best example is you could open youtube in the browser in the background and open email and the video would continue. On android they made the choice to restrict these type of behaviors by default for some apps. It still can easily be done though and the OS fully supports it.
Thanks. Regarding Android, is that specifically at the app level then, or are there some settings that need to be changed?
Our company does a lot of multitasking and as we're trying to move away from bb10, we're doing some pilot programs with different devices. The feedback were getting is that multitasking on ios is pretty pitiful.
We're considering Blackberry Android as well but haven't set up a pilot program yet, any other insight you can give on the multitasking experience? (or the experience in general for that matter)
We're email heavy, and very browser heavy. Relatively light on the apps, but we do a lot of switching back and forth and things need to run smoothly in the background. We're considering the Motion, the Keyone isn't an option for us.
