My wife really liked my old Bold 9900 (upgraded to a Q10, bad decision) and I would like to get her one off Ebay.

Since we will be using it between the US and Canada on a regular basis, Wind looks to have the best service offering. They just don't have the older Bold's available any more, you have to get a Q10.

Will a Bold 9900 UMTS 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100 work on Wind mobile?

    Thank you.

There is no Bold 9900 with UMTS 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100. There is one that is 800/850/1900/2100 and one that is 900/1700/2100. You would want to get the latter for Wind Mobile. But the downside is that this Bold will only work on TMO's 3G network in the USA. On AT&T, it will get you 2G at best.

800/850/1900/2100: good for 3G/HSPA+ on AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus, Fido, Koodo, Virgin Mobile, and TMO in some places. Not good at all for Wind.
900/1700/2100: good for 3G/HSPA+ on WIND and TMO (2G on AT&T, Rogers, and possibly Fido.)

I had a 9900 on wind & worked well enough. You can find the wind version through various secondary sources (ie craigslist), one of the cell phone resellers or possibly direct from BB. The wind versions of the bold always sell fast around here & you can expect to pay $150-220 for one.
