Mugen made extended batteries for the 9900. It seems that they only sell the 1500 mAh battery on their own site these days. Amazon has the 3600 mAh battery and door set still, but since Mugen doesn't carry them anymore, they're likely pretty old stock. It's a bit of a gamble given the prices I've seen ($42 US for the 1500, $88 for the 3600).

There were also some eBay sellers who sold generic high capacity batteries for a lot less. I've read somewhere that they worked quite well, but of course, you can't be sure until you try them.

The final alternative is to find a seller with (purportedly) genuine BlackBerry battery charger bundles. The bundles include a battery and an external charger, so that you can always keep a battery charged, and swap them out as necessary.

Just keeping a lighter-sized charger stick in your pocket can give you that extra boost to get you through the day.
