Yes but he hasn't switched to BBMe yet - he's still using his Emtek PIN, and was trying to log into the Passport with the same BBID. He needs to first convert his K2 to BBMe before he'll be free of Emtek.

Judging from the first post, I drew the conclusion he was using BBMe on Key2 then signed into Passport with same BBID, got logged out on Key2 and now isn't able to sign back into Key2.
Still waiting on @Denis Fedotenko to have a say in this.

I'm having the same issue on my Classic. BBM consumer worked again on BB10 after I made an Android account, I switched to BBMe on my Classic and everything broke again lol.

What exactly happened? You're stuck with BBMe on the Classic?

How exactly did you switch to BBMe on your Classic? The app isn't even available for BB10 devices. You don't have to do anything except add as BBM Contacts your Android friends' new PINs, and then invite them to chat.

You can switch to BBMe on BB10 within the app, BUT, you will need a full business subscription to use it, if you try to log in with a prosumer account you will get stuck and it's tricky to get back to BBMc.

    BBME issue switching devices.-img_20190507_155051.png
It is available for BB10 devices, in BBM you swipe down to get into settings, and you'd see "Upgrade to BBM Enterprise" somewhere in the settings.

After going through the "Upgrade to BBM Enterprise" process, I was unable to log in with my BBMe account, and because of that I cannot switch back or do anything with BBM.

You’re not alone. I am getting the same ‘temporary server error‘ message.

I'm afraid you'll need to do a security wipe. Turn off BB Protect, do the wipe, open BBM and try signing in with an account that is NOT associated with a prosumer subscription. It'll tell you you don't have permission to use BBMe and asks if you wish to revert back to BBMc. This worked for me when I got stuck there.

I've tried turning off BB Protect and doing the security wipe several times now and I still get the "temporary server error" message. If, after a security wipe, I don't setup my Blackberry ID when I open BBM it asks me to sign-in or create a Blackberry ID. How do I now switch the BBM app to BBMe?

I reported this to BBMe support 1 week ago. They still have no solution for it.

Try signing in with a DIFFERENT BlackBerry ID that is NOT subscribed to BBM Enterprise.

Since I don't use BBM very often... if I leave it as-is with the sign in issue I don't think battery life or data consumption would be impacted. I think I'll wait for a fix / not use BBM for the time being.

I repaired my BBM on my BB Classic with the bar file technique (reinstelled the BBM bar file). Then it asked me to transfer my existing BB ID registration to this device. It works -with limitations: the contacts from my existing BBMe account synced, no chats and no groups. Returning to BB Android and Windows worked also after re-login. The chats from BB10 BBM were not synced. But before that I checked on my BB10 they were sent, received and answered. It is really a compromise solution, better you use it on BB Android and Windows (I have no experience with iOS and Mac).
I found the BBM bar file here on CB in thread called "my dream came true" or something like that...

Since BBM on BB10 devices won't be affected by Emtek's killing off Android and iPhone BBM, I see no reason to change my BBID just to wrangle Enterprise onto a Q10 or Classic. I can still chat with my friends who had to go to Enterprise. They still have my PIN, and their new PINs are now in my BBM contacts.
