BBM on IPHONE 6 - how does it work with message delivery?

Hi There,
Got a quick q in regards to bbm and iphone 6 (i am assuming it uses I0S 8 if it is a 6). I have an adroid 4.4.4 OS currently.

1) If an iphone 6 is turned off either due to the fact that it is being repaired our out of battrey will the bbm messages I send to the iphone 6 still show as blue D on my android 4.4.4? As in the message is delivered to the recipient?

2) Would an older iphone, an iphone 5s or 5 or 4s or 4 function the same way if the phone was turned off or under repair the bbm messages i send to that iphone recipient show as blude D on my android

Can some one please confirm this, i am an iphone newbie.

If the receiving device is off, you're probably gonna see a check mark on your end, signifying that the message has been sent to the servers, and will be marked Delivered once the receiving device has turned on.
