I do not use BBM.
When I saw that it consumes about 100MB each month without using it, I wanted to disable it.
Seems impossible, but since nothing is impossible I am asking you for a hint.

I haven't tried this so I'm not sure if it works this way but, do a fresh OS install and don't ever open BBM. If it isn't setup it might never connect. Worth a shot.
