Hello,
I have a BlackBerry Q10. Anytime I sent videos from my phone to friends (with android or iOS) the video quality looks horrible on their phones.
Is there a setting I have wrong??
Anybody having this issue?
Thanks

Depends what you're using to send them the videos.
Maybe consider another method?

BlackBerry usually compresses the data of the video or photo, to save data consumption which leads to "crappy" quality.

You're trying to sent a video over MMS? That's the worst idea if you want to preserve quality. Most carrier have a hard limit of 1MB-1.2MB for any MMS file. At&t is actually the worst with a reported 600KB file size limit for MMS.
If you want to send a video and preserve file size you should use an internet based messaging app, upload to cloud service and share link, or upload to streaming such as YouTube and share link.

I use the 1080p in normal mode. I don't compress or reduce the file size... I send the file in its original size and quality. If the recieving party complains about size and time to download, they never complained about image quality :-P
I use my E-Mail or a virtual sorage and share.

Yeah, I've heard that BlackBerry compresses the data and that in turn results in the poor quality in mms.
But there are some phones (some androids) that quality is good and others (mostly iphones) that it's crap. I noticed friends with iphones maintain video quality (integrity) when mms'ing to each other.
So if I need an app to convert my videos or even images what do you guys recommend regardless of native or 3rd party..
It sucks because they think my BlackBerry is junk..son of a..

Yeah, it's not BlackBerry to blame. My iPhone does this when I send videos to my BlackBerry.

I recommend that you upload the video to Box or Dropbox, then text them the link. I would not be surprised to find out that iPhones do something like that automatically through iMessage.
Posted with my BlackBerry Z10!
Dropbox is a good idea.
I'm sure BBM does the same thing as imessage where it keeps the quallity.
But dropbox may be the only and best alternative.
