my blackberry Z10 has been playing up, it suddenly turned off a couple of days ago and when I turned it back on the screen went blue and turned off, I left it for while and turned it on again, it was working fine for around an hour and then the screen faded and turned off again. It hasn't turned on since and when I charge it the LED only comes on if the battery is taken out and it is on charge? anyone got any help? I have already tried holding the power button for 10 seconds, it flashes and then nothing happens,
    thank you.

Hi megan and welcome to the CrackBerry Community !

Well, we have to start over to try to diagnose better your problem.

First : Is the charger you have a genuine BlackBerry wall charger delivered with your device ?

Can you please try the following ?

    1. Unplug your Z10 from charger
    2. Remove the battery and plug it back. wait 1 minute
    3. Plug the charger. Wait 10 minutes.
    - 2 and 3 : can you see the white "BlackBerry" logo at start ?
    4. Hold both +/- volume keys together (don't release, we have some tests here)
    - Do you hear like a camera shutter sound (< 2 seconds)
    - If you hold it long enough, the device should reboot, is it ?

This first round to (try to) see if it's a screen defect.

    Hello, thankyou for replying,
I don't have the genuine charger, no, I have been using a samsung one but it has charged my phone fine, the LED comes on and works perfectly but I believe it is something to do with the screen, and I had trouble with water getting into it a few months back but it worked fine for months and has just started playing up, I am getting a new phone but It would be nice to get back onto my blackberry as I have all of my media saved into there
I also tried the steps and it didn't work, I don't think anything will work, I just don't think its worth it to pay all of the money to repair it when I wont be using it, it is a great answer and I appreciate it, thanks so much !

You should DEFINITELY give a genuine BlackBerry charger a go, especially if you ran out of battery.
