Hi. I have been trying to find a way to download the newest version of BB app world for my bold 9790 running 7.1. I have been unable to find any results but I have had no luck. is it dead? if not could you help try to update? I have the 3ed version and if I try to open the app it doesn't work, all it says is "a newer version of the app world is available" when I hit upgrade, it brings me to the web version, which then brings me back to the app version, then it does the same thing, if you can help it would be very helpful. thanks in advance!

You'll likely have to find the whatever was the last working .jad files for BlackBerry World.

You won't be able to download 3rd party apps anymore, unless a handful of developers make their apps available directly that you can sideload.

But honestly, most of them are long gone.

It doesn't seem to want to work, it just says I entered a wrong password of some sort? And the name is "someone shared {0} with me..." and in the app the name is "someone shared a list of..."

Did you download the files, put them all in a folder on your device, and then click on the .jad as noted in the post?

Most apps will be gone for BB10. As for BBOS, many apps are still available from other sources, and I am sure that many of us at CrackBerry have backed up our apps. My advice is to download every BBOS app you need, get a copy of BBSAK, and do an app backup.

If anyone ends up reading this after the app'ocalypse, go here.

I'd just run an autoloader for the latest OS, then BB World works fine.
