    If you are looking to use a BlackBerry as a Smartphone, they would need to support the BlackBerry Internet Service or BIS. Otherwise, too will be able to talk and text on network, and have data usage on Wi-Fi, and then, some things will be limited or non-functional, like push email and BBM.
