    Sounds like the battery is shot.

    Will it power back on or is it done?

    I think if you plug the device in, let it charge to 100% and then while it's still plugged in do a hard reset it will reset the battery memory.

    To do a hard reset hold both the up and the down volume controls until the device restarts.
