Hi my battery charges full, though when I switch it back on and use it for a while, it switches off without notifing me round about 91%, what shud I do.
Hi OP. Have you been doing battery pulls when the phone is on? This is not recommended with BB10 and can play havoc with the battery % making the phone think it's out of juice when it isn't.
Since it's the STL-1, maybe you could recalibrate your battery. Drain up your battery until it turns off by itself, take out the battery for a few minutes, and then put the battery back on, and try charging it using USB charger on laptop or PC. Let it charge.
Based on my experience, I will never charge it using the original charger after the battery drains. What I do is I will use PC or laptop to charge it up. This method is way slower, but this is very effective to recalibrate the battery indicator.
After my battery died on its own I took it a left it for about 30min out of my phone charged it via ps3 coz its always on. After it got energy it switches on by its self and once it reached 100% it stopped charging and now it only allows me to use it till 95%. Anything else I cud try thanx

Make mental note or screenshot of battery health %. (what is it?)
Charge the battery until the phone shows 100% (preferably using official charger). Don't unplug.
Open the battery charger app. The phone should show that it is still receiving a current (100+mah) and the health % should keep rising slowly.
If/when it has actually stopped charging (battery charger app shows 0 or a negative number. Again, don't unplug) restart the phone.
After it restarts, check battery charger again and see if it has resumed charging.
You have to repeat the process of using USB charger or laptop (slow charging) for a few times. It quite common for my original charger to finish charging at 90+%. When that happens, I just simply slow charges it and the charging process will continue.
