aptX is a audio codec utilizing more bandwidth

    The short version is:

If you connect a Bluetooth system, which also supports aptX, to your BlackBerry 10 device, you can expect similar sound quality over Bluetooth as you do with a wired audio connection.

The sound quality is like day and night compared to regular Bluetooth sound.

Read about the codec here: What is Bluetooth aptX Technology and How Does it Work?

I have a Braven 650 which apparently supports Aptx, I'm using Spotify from the amazon store. Does the codec only work for native blackberry apps? How can I tell on my Z10?
