    I wish to install android apps , but am hesitant to because not sure how secure they are, and having to give permissions to files, pics, contacts, etc.

    In my opinion, yes if you use the Amazon Underground app or the one automatically installed by BB. I've used it on my Z30, Passport, and my wife's Z30 with absolutely no problems or security concerns. Given that BB has made it available to us, I'm reasonably confident that it's safe and have had no issues personally.
