"This app won't play without Google Play services which are missing from your phone"

I have a bunch of Android apps with no issues. I've tried a new app recently and it won't start and shows me that error.

    I use snap.

    I'm running Q10SQN100-3/10.2.1.3175

    Didn't think it was relevant.

    It's called Fling.

Some Android apps require Google play Services which we don't have. To have Google Play services, the phone has to be running Android operating system and be approved by Google. This means that phones which can handle Android apps may not necessarily have Google play services. These include Amazon fire phones and tablets, BlackBerry devices and tons of Android devices made in Asia where the manufacturer has not paid for the license or not been granted one in order to keep costs down. Fling is available in Amazon App store and that version should not require Gplay services. You might also want to try getting it from 1Mobile. BlackBerry will probably never have Google Play services as it is only currently available on Android phones. Google won't even let Amazon have it and they're running a forked version of Android. I hope this helps.

Google "Cobalt google apps landing page".

It's a thread here in the crackberry forums.

    That's all you need.

Look up Lucky Patcher in CrackBerry forums. It will help with the Google Play issues.

I downloaded an app from Amazon and get this message too.

So, pretty much, the app won't work on my BlackBerry?

Is the patch something I can do on the phone? I'm not really looking to hack my phone. Not a big deal, I just prefer to download apps and have them work. If it's not available, ok.

Yes I agree. A seamless solution would be welcome, but that would be boring wouldn't it.

    Merry Christmas.

New updates to games that implemented google play services will not work with 10.2.1.

You need to upgrade to 10.3.1

Something I just learned. The pop up appears saying I need google services, but when I swipe behind the pop up, on the app I'm trying to use the pop up goes away and I can use the app. That will do for now.
