I had the amazon app store and the BlackBerry assistant with my Q5 and 10.2.1 why would they be listed as new in 10.3.1?

I do believe you are mistaken or, at the very least, loaded the Amazon Appstore yourself. It's now preloaded on all devices. As for BlackBerry Assistant, well, it's an entirely new version.

Could be? I'd have sworn the amazon app store was always there. It's not something I really use much so I don't remember downloading or having a need too.

Well not that it matters and for what it's worth I checked to see if the amazon app store was a download able app from BBW and I couldn't find it there. And that would absolutely be the only place I would get something from.

So, I will go back to my original position that my Telus q5 prepaid phone purchased last Sept came with the app store pre installed.

Case closed, end of discussion.
