Does anyone know if Dtek is the only thing needed on a Priv? Or is another antivirus app also needed/recommended?

If you use common senses + don't play around with non trust sources (ie, anything which is not Google play store, Amazon), you don't need anti-virus in Android.

I use AVG on a Android Tab and it is okay, they like to use scare tactics to upgrade by making small things seem like big ones. AVG has apparently only found one Malware in a game I was trying to download from the play store two years ago, since then nothing really.

To download from Amazon you also have to have open "Downloads from other sources" which I also have to deal with a big red warning on the widget as a Security risk, even though I have it set that you need to approve before downloading.

Don't download from third party app stores or use Chinese or Russian services and you'll be fine for the most part. Android antivirus is more of a window dressing than anything because they cannot run as root.
