    Hey?

I use the latest version of snap.

    Never seen this error before.

    Advice?

    • Try again to install the app.
    • Ensure the app is Android 4.3 compatible
    • Try a different app and see if it installs.

The Android runtime is getting old and some apps, just simply fail to install now as they're targeting a higher API (Lollipop) than what is offered through the Android runtime. If other apps install, it's likely just that app. If ALL apps fail, you may wish to consider reloading the Android runtime or your OS.

Android Runtime is part of BB10

SNAP is an native BlackBerry app that should allow you access to Google Play.

So the error happens when you try to run SNAP? Maybe delete it and download the latest version.

But first just try a hard reboot.

Sorry for not mentioning. I'm running Q10SQN100-3/10.3.1.2744

The error also says: please ensure you're running a compatible version of BB10.

Dunt, it doesn't happen when I "run" snap. It happens when trying to install some apps via snap.

I have a feeling something happened to the actual Android installer app.

To check if it's actually installed, what happens if you try to install any Android APK from the File Manager?

He's saying if you've ever downloaded an apk it would be in your downloads section in your "file manager ". If you haven't installed one that's there, try installing one and see what it says

I've only ever used Snap to download/install android apps.

I see some files with the letters "apk" in my downloads folder but they're from appas i installed such as instagram. I see a bunch of apk files with the work instagram.

Meanwhile I can't install any apps with snap at all. I can search, find, download, but not install or update existing apps.

^ That does nothing, ignore that comment
The installer is part of the OS. If you tried to update the OS yourself in the past, you may have ****ed it up by either omitting it, or not installing the right version

I updated my current OS around 6 weeks ago. After updating I was able to instal new apps via snap without any problems. This problem only started a week or so ago.

The runtime could have become corrupted for whatever reason

Download any apk from your computer, let's say fb, instagram, google maps, etc
    Transfer to device
Click on the apk under file manager

The android installer is either corrupted or blocked.

This happened to me once before.

    This is what you do.

    1. Make sure in the parental controls that the "install apps " isn't off.

Then check to make sure in "Installing Apps" that the ability to install android apps is on.

If all is good so far then the android installer is indeed corrupted.

The best solution is to reload your OS, and in order not to lose info, I would just blitz to the latest leak. That's what I did and it worked.
