    Evening all

Just a quick question if anyone can help. If i can get an app from the Amazon store and the same app from tbe Google Play store, which should i use? Is there any benefit from using one app store over the other? (Better battery, performance etc)

    Thanks in advance.

Google Play store if possible, unless the app only exists at Amazon. If they're at both, the Google play version will be more recent - Amazon needs updated separately.

    Are you using BlackBerry 10?
It depends on the app. In my experience, an App on Google Play is likely to be a more recent version, which can be nice.
On the other hand, apps from Google Play may require Google Play services (potentially making it hard or impossible to use them), while Amazon apps shouldn't.

Amazon is where Android apps go to die. The store is filled with old versions - many of which will never see an update.

Isn't that the truth. Just as an example look at the Medscape app. It is so old (v2.2 from 2014) that it won't work on ANY device. The newest version (4.1.4) requires Google Play Services and will only work on my Passport if it is patched. In order to get a good experience without gps, I have to get an older version from Apkpure or Aptoide where several working versions are archived.
