Hello Everyone,
What is better to use if I want to save Battery life but also surf or let the soziale media load? Because on my Q10 10.3.1 it feels like all of the Connections is draining my Battery down.

I often set 2G with BIS. It is enough for me to get email and save the battery.
It's not based on scientific experiment, but I've seen that while moving in the city or taking the fast train, the 3G/4G setting prevents the phone to change too often, and increases a little battery life.

Ok, so it is better for me just to use 2G then? Even when I surf?

I am sure the performance network and device wise will vary. Why don't you try each network option over a period of days, then you will have your answer as to which works best for you.
Only you, based on how you use your device, and what applications you run can determine what is best for you.

Ok, so I will not have a choice, I have to try it by my self. But I was asking for a opinions and experience, that is all :(

Alright... from my years of trial and error.. 2G is the best for battery in everywhere, since it's a pretty basic connection that doesn't the ability to download much data. It gets chats working and emails coming perfectly, surfing isn't as good tho.
But if you're in a big city (a place where the network should generally be strong) then the connection type doesn't seem to make a difference and you'll get great battery on any connection.
So to conclude and give you my tried recipe; keep the phone on 2G all the idle time or chat time, but when you need to surf or watch a video set it up to the fastest connection 4G or H+ to get the job done fast then switch back to 2G.
Hope that answers your question

Ok, I will try to use my 3G then, because the most of the time I'm in Big City's. Thank you very much :)

Using 2G on legacy OS works fine for better battery life.but not in BlackBerry 10.
I'm using 3G and 4G only on my Z30. Boosting me to 16.5-18 hour battery life.

I agree with the above post #7. You need to manually change the network mode according to your need.
In general 4G consumes more battery, so you need to find out from your carrier its 4G coverage and check the signal strength using an app such as Signal.
Personally I set my phone on 2G most of the time, and then WiFi when I am at home or office. I easily get 20+ hours of mixed-use.

The Idea with the 2G is not that bad, but if it's constantly loading something in the background like email and sozial media, it also takes longer and eat my battery life right?

IMHO, signal strength is the key. Slower connection consumes more power.

Thank you very much arifbsantoso

You're welcome.

I believe my previous post was pretty explanatory.
It's not about the speed of the connection, it's about the strength of the signal.
2G basically has better coverage, hence why it consumes less battery.
It is the same with wifi, if you're getting low wifi bars it uses more battery than when you're sitting next to the router.

From what i been told as well, its signal strength what determines battery life. When you got 1-2 bars in a frequency then your phone is always scanning for a stronger signal but when your around 4-5 bars it has to use less battery because it doesn't need to be constantly scanning for a better signal.
But i just been told that and don't have any solid proof to back it up but i have noticed i get best signal on HSPA, a perfect 5 bars when in my place and if i switch to 4G LTE in the same spot i only get 1-2 bars and i do use a lot more battery. But that could also be from 4G LTE just uses more battery anyways. Since i don't get full signal on 4G LTE what i been told seems to be correct.
Assuming the signal strength are the same, 2G consumes less power.
