    My Priv seems to be stuck on the February Update and my son's is stuck on an update from Aug 2016. The carrier partner was useless in assistance I have tried manual updates / check for system updates. Is there some setting on the device which is preventing the updates fr coming

    I don't think any Privs or dtek60s have gotten the updated, locked or unlocked.

    @Troutspawn try this: Though it will not get the April 2017 Update, you might be able to get the prior one.

    This is from the Blackberry Knowledge Base:
    Additional Information
    Should the update not show within the Notification shade, perform a manual Check-In. To perform the Check-In, complete the following;

    Open the Phone app.
    Type *#*#CHECKIN#*#* (*#*#2432546#*#*)
    checkin succeeded will show within the Notification shade when successful.

    Is there a way to raise a defect with BlackBerry my son also has a Priv and his phone got updated on Sep 2016 and he can no longer get patched. Same model STV100-3 same carrier. It appears that for some reason the carrier has excluded the device from receiving updates like mine now for the March update and April is now around the corner
