    Hi Blaze,

If you knew that someone will steal your phone and try to hack it to get your internet history, would you feel more safe with a BlackBerry running Android or BB10?

    Thanks!

    BB10 would be safer....

It really depends on if how worried you are someone is going to steal your phone, how much effort or cost you think they'll put into it vs how useful using BB10 is for your needs.

As long as you have the proper security features setup I'd feel like I have them same level of security on both.

Your internet history can be obtained from other methods that do not involve stealing your phone. But to answer your question, all of them are pretty good if they are routinely updated and the user is savvy.

It really depends on who "THEY" are...

Your Girlfriend... both are safe if encrypted and secured properly.

Local Police... BB10 might have an edge.

You country's top law enforcement.... neither would probably protect you.

But yes internet history can be gotten in a number of ways without access to your phone... again depends on who "THEY" are and what resources "THEY" have.

If they subpoena his ISP/carrier it wouldn't matter...

A password is a password. You have 10 shots either way. It up to you to make a secure password

I know the FBI was able to unlock an iPhone, don't know all the details about it but let's assume "they" will try the same method.

Actually they paid a 3rd party to do it.... Cellebrite.

Cellebrite advertises being able to recover data from a number of devices, including BlackBerry.

(I expect it was only older BBOS phones.... )

This is a question that seems to come up often and every time I think to myself "I must have a boring life". At no time do I feel the need to protect my phone from anyone. All these people that post seem to be leading a much more exciting life than I do in my vanilla flavored world.

The FBI had physical possession of the phone according to estimates, over US$1,000,000 to pay Cellbrite to retrieve the data for them.

How much is your browsing history worth to this theoretical interloper?

Apple has now closed that method. Starting with the iPhone 6.
