My phone was stolen, my son broke his screen and went to IPhone. I wiped his phone and was going to use it. Both Z30. After the wipe, in the setup, it's telling me that the anti theft is on and to use the BlackBerry ID that the phone was set up with. I used my son's BlackBerry ID and it doesn't work. I tried mine and no luck. I signed into BlackBerry Protect with his ID and he has no phone even hooked up to it. Any ideas? Your thoughts are appreciated

That's odd. It should be setup to one of your accounts.

That's what I thought. Would it have anything to do with my Sim card and my phone being marked as stolen?

Shouldn't be anything to do with your SIM card.

I have to ask. Are you absolutely sure there isn't another email address that may have been used to set this device up?

Strange. The only thing I can think is that when he received it, someone was already logged in and with a different BlackBerry ID and it was never noticed, until you wiped it.

Either that or your son somehow used another email address for his BlackBerry ID.

You may want to call BlackBerry Support at this point.

I didn't know that was an option. I'll see if I can locate the number. Thanks. I'll let you know what they say
