Vodafone has just launched 4G services in my city (Kolkata). As of what I have read, it is launching it in 1800 Mhz in Kolkata. I use a Z30 and my dad uses a Classic. I want to know whether these will support 4G in 1800 Mhz? Both the phone have been bought from India. Thanks!

    STA100-2 Z30: yes.

If the Classic is SQC100-1/2/3/5: yes.

Not sure which model of the classic sells in India.
My Z30 is STA 100-2 so no issues there I hope
    Thanks!

I'm guessing it's the SQC100-1. Just like the STA100-2, it's the ROW model.

Also--don't be surprised if your phones don't get 4G right away (assuming the network is band 3.) Sometimes "creative manual provisioning" is required, where you have to feed the carrier a dummy IMEI# of an already approved phone to get 4G working. This happens all the time with AT&T, and even Verizon (tablets.)

And how is that exactly done?

Something like this: Here's how to ensure you get LTE on your BlackBerry Passport while using AT&T | CrackBerry.com

and this: How To Activate An LTE Nexus 7 On Verizon Wireless (third set of instructions, 1-8.)

I must emphasize that I'm not saying this will happen, just that it could happen.
