That's fine, but sometimes the truth does mean inconvenient truths to some.

I've started washing my phone whenever I wash my hands....
If worried about a virus, can't beat something that is waterproof and doesn't have a bunch of crevasses or buttons.
Also like that for now I can install the CDC App for updates and notifications.
I think the UniHertz Titan would be the ultimate "crisis" phone.
Aside from that, any phone with good battery life and cell reception would be good to have.
I don't believe all that's said but I do love my news and like to be in the know.
To each their own
So ... WHY is the Passport the go-to phone?
In the sense that anyone using it for sensitive data could easily be compromised to create a crisis for their company, I agree!
Z10 = BB10 + VKB > iOS + Android
My iPhone XR for me as I can wipe the screen off with the wipes far easier than PKB since it’s a VKB duh.....
I was under the impression that locking it down with NetGuard would sort of eliminate that issue.
I think they say we should stop socializing, so start closing down all social media platforms.

Yes. That would help a ton, so long as you managed it properly.

Mitigate, but not eliminate.
System communications do not have to follow the rules - they can access wifi or cellular without going through NetGuard. Even NetGuard's developer has stated that. It's great for controlling other apps. And for the most part Google follows their own rules with Android communications. But component manufactures firmware or the OEMs own packages...??

You mean talking about Wuhan, the city - is covert er covidly censored by some nebulous mysterious deadly unqeustionable authoritiy of unknown origins and power? What are we talking about here? WeChat?
But the important unmentioned part of your story is, that the Blackberry Passport is now more valuable and useful than almost every other Passport in the World right now! Pretty Amazing turn of events....pass it on....er or don't....I'm a little befuddled about that right now.
Just so everyone knows, I'm enjoying self-containment or whatever they call not spilling your guts...by watching Chevrolet Commercials telling me to get together with Friends in a new suv In a suv! (I guess that makes sense if the bars and restaurants are going to be closed).....or McDonalds wants me to "stay awhile" and enjoy a free coffee refill (from their new coupon booklet)....I don't think I could hold up the drive through that long to take advantage of the offer though..could I?
[QUOTE=i_plod_an_dr_void;13503313]The best parking spots can still get the WiFi and bathroom access.
I am still wondering.
It still can operate in WiFi calling mode so well after losing mobile carrier functionality ;-D
Ooooohhhhh. Like every other phone?
Everyone complains when I bash the Passport and BB10 all these years and now complain when I look for some positive aspect....
But you’re correct....
[QUOTE=Chuck Finley69;13503348]They should just move the wifi router to the outside of the building during the crisis. lol. Would it be the worlds first wifi parking lot?
[QUOTE=i_plod_an_dr_void;13503651]Probably not since I’m sure title goes to old neighbor we used to piggyback back on open WiFi in the apartment complex almost 20 years ago.
BlackBerry Passport.. Like every other phone....with BB10.... Unlike any other Phone. Ooooohhhhh!
Lol. I was just referring to Wi-Fi. Not like you can reliably load any regular websites anymore.
