    Dear BlackBerry,

I have multiple BlackBerry 10 phones, but I would like to purchase Z30s outright from BlackBerry. Can you open a campaign to sell discounted phones to your loyal fans and treat us same as your employees? We are families after all. You will have nothing to lose any way. You know our BlackBerry IDs, it is easy piece for you.

Berrians, whoever likes this idea, please drop a comment to support.

Unlikely to happen but would be lovely it happens.

I would get some more of bb10 devices for my family.. spread more love of bb10 to the families... and besides, it's a great communication device to connect family members.

Sell it cheap to CrackBerry loyalty.

Sure! It would be great to be able to buy a discounted unlocked Z30, or any and unlocked BB10 phone direct from BlackBerry (or one of their affiliates, nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

Us Canucks never (officially) got in on the $200 Z10 deal.

Marketing 101 says not to discount your guaranteed sales as you'll have same sales numbers with less revenue.

They should offer a generous discount to customers that are upgrading from BB OS need to get all those legacy users to upgrade!

Blackberry willing to just write off their Z10 inventory rather than offer them at a discount to many PlayBook owners.

Would love if they can do it now... Z10 Z30 Q10 or Q5...

The only problem with this is that how do you define a blackberry loyal? Someone who has owned every blackberry model? Someone who has only ever used blackberrys? Someone who has only owned 2 blackberries? It's far too vague to do this

That's a very good point. How you define a supporter is a grey area, and no one will be happy.

Yes for 2 BlackBerry phones maybe but still he has stuck to BlackBerry unlike others
On the other hand I have been upgrading my BlackBerry since inception currently using a 9780 and a Q10 would love to get a z30 but it's not economical buying 2 500$ phones so yes I would love BlackBerry to have some kind of exchange discount /trade in so others like me can really get going
    Love BlackBerry
    Nothing but the best

See a trade in program is a much better idea, kind of like what blackberry did for the z10 in India. If I could get like 100-150 off of say a z30 by trading in my z10, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

To be fair... tradein a BB10 to anothet BB10 might not be feasible to the company. perhaps tradein playbook and all BB7 or before users to Bb10 can do, so that many can taste the beauty of Bb10.

I meet a lot of BB6/7 users, they know bb10 but they dont know what else it can do that their current cant do.

There's tradeup.blackberry.com, but the discount is pretty low. There's the current T-Mobile BlackBerry trade-in program that started yesterday...

If a BB6/BB7 user uses the browser a lot, the BB10 browser alone is worth the upgrade.

Plus in all honesty I think the discount program should be for non-bb users to get them on board

It is really mystery that apple can sell all their products from its stores and online, and BlackBerry can't do the same ? Why does it not want to sell Z30?

A good idea, which T-Mobile are running with.

If you are in the States, T-Mobile might be worth a visit.

$250 discount for legacy to BB10 upgrades.

But, I can't see BB doing this directly. As others have said, it's difficult to decide who would be eligible and business doubts over what BB would gain from selling loyalists a discounted phone that they would have bought anyway at full retail.

It can not be done. They will male less revenue with the same amount of sales. They need to lure others from Droid and Apple products. How about dropping the price for all consumers and try to win back some of those that jumped ship.

How about creating separate campaigns one for current BlackBerry users, and another one for users using xBBM? I see these kinds of campaigns common in other industries like Autos, why is BlackBerry not doing this?

For the U.S. market, it'll be hard to drop the price any lower, given that the Z10 and Q10 are Free at AT&T and Z10 Free, Q10 $50 and Z30 $100 at Verizon on subsidized plans, which are plans most U.S. people go with...
