As a reminder from a previous post of mine:

The ENTIRE QNX filesystem that contains EVERYTHING you need to run the QNX 6.5 platform (from which BB10 was forked and built around) is 98MB.

    BB10 is over 2GB !!

Your argument has been presented many times. Still, no one has been able to address the question regarding spreading costs among product lines. As expected; generalities with no details.
Spreading costs across what product lines for what revenue? I can't find anything that generates any revenue for BlackBerry Limited since there's no required need for them. OEMs don't need to pay for anything if available free. How many automotive products now use Android/iOS solutions with a bare minimum QNX or have zero QNX so as not to pay any royalties. BlackBerry products don't exist or more importantly compete in a vacuum. Literally, you've presented a solution where a problem simply doesn't exist from an OEM perspective. If OEMs want to create a problem and provide a solution, it will be without "partners" so as to not have to share. This is what happened to BlackBerry with BBOS when it was excluded from carrier negotiations to replace BBOS and it's business model.

If you can tell any of your proposed various participants "WIIFM" from their perspective to include BlackBerry versus going solo, I'm sure everyone here would love to hear it.

Right now to rephrase..,, you have a solution without a problem and no reason for BlackBerry to be involved even if you can identify a problem

@DonHB..... might want to PM this guy. Maybe he will talk with you. https://forums.crackberry.com/showth...1#post13514887 Seems to have some real experience with QT and understands the cost.

Never mind... you'd never believe him and just waste his time.
