It is obvious that Heins has lost to confidence of many of the shareholders and Wall St. too.
He is leading the push to sell the company or take it private. That seems to be a fiasco.
The only logical thing is to get a new CEO and have that CEO say that his vision is for BlackBerry to stay independent and fight on in the smartphone market and the other areas they are involved in in mobile computing.
Heins cannot change his tact again because it will just look like someone who is flailing away at any option but someone new can look decisive and not be encumbered by the decisions of Heins and the board of directors to date.
