The way I look at it is that the media is killing BlackBerry. All you hear is how it's losing market share and it's going to under. What does it mean for BlackBerry? No Sales(why buy a product that won't be supported anymore). The only way to change that is make blackberry go private asap that is the only way to stop the decline and build the business back up.

yup it would be the way to handle it, but also looking into hardware side buisness partners may not be a bad idea either

They need a partner to tell them how to behave in public.

Either go private or a partnership. Someone who knows how to market!

Really should get of the marketing kick.
Marketing is not the silver bullet.
    There is nothing to market.
Look at the market, what's selling?
Large screens and features of dubious value.
    Who's selling it? Samsung
In market share, Samsung is even eating Apple's lunch.
Want to compete in mobile? Find a gimmick.
Then you have something to market.

The real question is "can the brand survive all of this negative publicity"? The news get worse by the day.

With all of it's woes and blunders who (but loyalists) would want a BlackBerry device?

    Go BB!

    Tin foil hat alert!

I suppose it was the media that announced that BBRY was exploring strategic alternatives, or that BBRY was looking to sell itself by November. Or, for that matter, it was the media that made BBRY fail to timely respond to the iPhone, or made BBRY release the PlayBrick, or made it delay release of BB10 for almost a year, or made BBRY release an unpolished version of BB10, or made it do so two months after announcing the Z10 in a Super Bowl ad.

By and large, the media simply reported. The multiple gunshot wounds in BBRY's foot came by its own hand.

As with everything the media is crushing Blackberry. People generally read the title of articles and then make there own assumptions; don't even bother reading the entire article.

Blackberry needs to get out of the light of the media and all its scrutiny.
