My daughter wants an IPhone. So when I buy her one I'm buying the 5S. She will get the whole package, not just the name.
I guess that's why apple has increased iPhone 5s production by 75%.
Demand seems to be insatiable for the 5s.

It is actually not known whether the 5c is selling well or not. Just a lot of conjecture. 28 Oct should give more concrete info (Apple earnings)
Where I'm at, I can factually say that it's not selling well. But the iPhone 5 is on its way out so sales of the 5C might soon pick up.

Yeah. That's why the iPhone never really took off with its glass screen and why most screens are still made of plastic.

Ouch, you should purchase AppleCare + for your iPhone,

    "Apple hardware coverage
AppleCare+ provides repair or replacement coverage, both parts and labor, from Apple-authorized technicians. Service coverage includes the following:
    Your iPhone
    Battery(1)
    Included earphones and accessories
Included USB cable and power adapter
Coverage for up to two incidents of accidental damage,(2) each subject to a $79 service fee plus applicable tax

True (well iPhone 5s without AppleCare+),
If you change your mind you only have 30 days to purchase one from the original date of purchase.

From experience it worth it( & It's transferable

    Good luck.

I think what they really wanted was a better margin than they get on the iPhone 5 for that $100 on-contract slot.
I am inclined to agree with this. Of all the reasons put forward for the 5C, this makes the most sense to me. I don't believe it was just to add a trendy, colorful feel to the iPhone brand.

Despite the ever strong demand for unfounded Apple rumours, the fact is that nobody outside of Apple knows how well the 5c is doing.

Could be meeting expectations, could be exceeding them or falling short of them.

A change in the supply line could mean any number of things, like changing the supplier, or adding to the 5s production.

Remember earlier this year, when there were reports about weak iPhone 5 demand for the same reason? And it turned out that it was because they were replacing the iPhone 5 with the 5c...
