Just wanted to know what's really on your mind as of right now whether you'll be getting the iPhone 5 until the BB10 is finally out.

I think I'll be getting one until the new BB10 has been finally release. I mean seriously, I can't handle my 9790 anymore as I lost interest to it and not to mention my previous 9900. I need something new, fast, better and everything!

personally my 9900 does what i need it to do and i will be using it until i get my first BB10 device.

it doesn't really make much sense to go out and spend the money on an iPhone5 when you're really just waiting for a BB10 phone, to use it for a few months and then dump it.

if you really want something maybe look at a used iphone4s before upgrading or an older galaxy s2

No interest in iPhone 5. I'm using the SGS3 while I wait for BB10. I'm also interested in looking at WP8, but I'm pretty certain my next device purchase will be BB10.

I am happy with my 9900/IP4S combo with the 9900 as a daily driver. I do not expect any handheld device working like a desktop. I use a mobile device mostly as a PIM device (cal, contacts, ToDo & Note etc). No need for a game (perhaps only when I "really get" bored in an a'port etc) or even video watching. For that kind of purpose, tI reach for my iPad or a real computer. I want a small device. I actually bought a Galaxy S III 2 days ago just to see what the Android device is all about. Not only did I hate the Android, but the Galaxy was too large (a full palm size which is ridiculous). I am returning it tomorrow. I have the average size hand but 9780/9790 size was the sweet spot.
As an Apple user for almost a quarter century, buying an iPhone was obligatory/default but probably not this time. At least I am not in a hurry. 4S is a superb device. It's an ideal size too (for me).
For the first time, I have no urge or rush to buy the new iPhone. I will sit back, wait until all bugs are out. In the meantime, BB10 should be out (if RIM survived). I might end up with both BB10 QWERTY & IP5.

If BB10 is no larger than 9900 (QWERTY model), then that's probably the one I use as a daily driver. For my use, I still lament the loss of my 9790 (I sold it).

iPhones retain their value quite well. You can sell an iPhone 3 months after release for pretty much what you paid for it. Then that money can be used for a new device of one's choosing.

I won't be getting a new phone until my contract is up for renewal, and that;s a long time away. Most likely I'll just get a BB10 phone, maybe a N-series.

No, before me going to update to an iphone or android I prefer give a try to a windows phone ex nokia lumina. But I'm going to wait until my bday in feb for the qwerty bb10 version.
