    i have to update when i get off work...
    is it taking a long time to update and restore?
    any problems doing this?
    i just dont know what to expect.

    nope. takes no time at all.
    i didnt run into any problems...i dont think you could unless you disconnected your iphone from your computer while it is updating.
    itunes does everything for you. it will be a cake walk.

    over on macrumors.com, some are saying they are running into errors, and bricked iphones..i really really dont want that to happen to me.. hopefully uploads will be slower in about an hr when i get off work and it will be "quick and easy" for me. :-D

    So i downloaded the update (3.0) and when i click to install the update it says the activation server is down.. anyone else run into this?

    Im having the same problem. Ive tried 15 times to get this thing to update, and with no success. I guess we will have to wait for a little while, until things clam down...
