My friend wants to sell me his used 16 GB wifi only ipad 2 for $125. I haven't used one before and wanted to know what most people use theirs for?
If I had to guess what I would use it for it would probably be web browsing and that's it. Thanks in advance!

Tell him I will buy it.

But seriously use mine for work when I am on call. VPN, RDP and life is good.
Also to Check my PACS systems when I need too.

I just bought it! So far I've been on this thing browsing the web (using it right now). It's really nice. What are some iPad apps?

    -Email
-Check Security/Cams around my house and in my retail stores
-Bought Quickoffice ($15) so I do my spreadsheets and write memos etc
-Use countless news apps (CNN abc time fox msnbc Nd much more)
-Watch movies and catch up on series (Netflix, Global) when the family is hogging all the big screens.

I love the battery life on this thing! I tether this to my thunderbolt and browse the web while listening to pandora.

I use mine for Facebook, e-mail, Netflix, playing Uno, watching Youtube. The good thing about IOS is that there are tons of apps to toy around with.

Hope a big bill doesn't come in the mail.

    On topic:

Safari, netflix, weather channel, cable app, rdp client, mapquest, bamboo paper

I don't like the mail client so I use safari to access webmail for my main mail accounts. This and I have the biggest memory size lol.

The browser isn't great with a bunch of flaws, but it's a heck of a lot better than OS5 and easier than taking out the laptop.

Yes, VZW does charge for wireless hotspot and I am using a rooted thunderbolt. So far so good.

I agree! I haven't used my laptop since having the thunderbolt and now getting this I don't think I'll ever use my laptop again.
