I often travel away from home and i want to know wich number does the visual voicemail use. Is it the number of the owner cellphone (wich will cost long distance charges if i use it when i'm away) or is it the 1 877 number?

Also is there a way to customize it?

I'd like to know before i buy the iPhone 4 because this would be an issue for me. Thanks

If you are talking about using it one the iPhone itself, it does not use a number at all. VVM replaces the need to dial into your VM to hear the message that was left. If you are talking about checking VM's when you do not have your phone with you, then yes it uses the number that is attached to the iPhone just like any other VM does.

Okay thanks. so to rephrase my question I want to know:

If I use VVM when I'm in another city, will I get charged for long-distance minutes as i would using the normal VM service?

(I don't know if it works this way in the states but in Canada it does)

Checking vm through your iPhone doesn't use minutes so you won't incur any charges for checking it.
