Here is my list of apps

RssRunner - simple RSS reader that syncs with Google Reader, I like the simple interface.
GoodPlayer - plays all video files like AVI and WMV without conversion
TuneIn Radio - best radio app in my opinion, I can listen to ESPN radio on the go
Starbucks - no more pulling out the card, it syncs with your account
RedLaser - shopping app to scan barcodes
AppShopper - lets you browse by apps that have just gone from paid to free
Tripit - similar to blackberry travel
Google Voice - works very well, tight integration
Downloads Lite - a must have to send email attachments
Genius Scan - create PDFs from images, great for work
Copy2Contact - a carryover from my BB, can't leave home without it

I have all the other obvious ones, LinkedIn, Facebook, Dropbox, Pandora, Kindle, and some personal ones like banking apps. And a bunch of games

I do find myself doing things on my iPhone that I would normally fire up the laptop to do, like buy something on Amazon or look something up on Wikipedia. It's been great at just getting bits of info when I need it.

And to be fair, a lot of these apps are similar to what I had on my BB but they just are more polished and complete. Plus you can pick the best RSS reader from hundreds instead of picking an ok one from a handful.

Google Voice: better than Android in the sense I can dial out properly, not relying on a callback program

FLAC player: $9.99 best investment to keep my FLAC files from being obsolete on my iPhone

Vtok: free google talk replacement. Video and voice supported.

    Advanced dictionary

Vitalsource bookshelf: allows me to study on the go.

Honestly, it's the closest thing I've found that matches Flipboard for the iPad.

Personally, I rather have Flipboard. On the downside, it's iPad only.

On the plus side, supposedly an iPhone app was in the works and was set to be released in a few weeks.

On the downside, this announcement was made August 25, 2011...

    Reuters story

Sad thing: it was the Chairman and CEO that made this comment...

Pulse is amazing for news. Also integrates to share on Twitter and Facebook.

Camera + is really my go-to app for all things photography. I love all the filters!

Instagram is another popular photography app. The one thing I love about Instagram is that you can share your photos on Instagram with friends and strangers. Also integrated with Facebook and Twitter.

Whale Trail is a super fun game. I'm not big into games but this one is great and the music is so cute. My husband and I find ourselves randomly humming the song from the game.

Accounts -Checkbook I'm a budgeting nerd so I love this easy way to balance my checkbook and keep track of spending with categories.

Tapatalk Many thanks to Reeneebob for recommending this app! A must have for any iPhone user who posts on forums.

That's all I have for now.

Glad my Tapatalk recommendation came in handy!

For me, some of my favs:

Hockey Night in Canada - free, sports. I'm Canadian, duh. Plus you can pay to stream some games you want to watch from the app.

GetGlue - free, social/entertainment - so much fun to check in on TV and movies with your friends. You earn stickers that you can request in physical form for no charge as well.

TSN - free, sports. Again, kinda self explanatory.

System Status - $1.99 - utility to monitor battery and system resources on the phone

360 - $2.99 - allows you to shoot a 360 degree panoramic picture by simply sweeping across and pausing at certain intervals that you have lined up on a grid.

Pimp My Screen - $1.99 - wallpaper app that allows you to add shelves or icons to any picture you have or it's preloaded wallpapers.

Wallstand - $.99 - collection of retina papers, organized into categories as well as colours. Love it.

EW Must List - free - entertainment - Entertainment Weekly's Must list sent right to your phone

TWoP - free - entertainment - read Television Without Pitys TV show recaps on your phone.

Live Nation - free - ticket hub - you can preorder Ticketmaster tix a day before the general public simply because you have an iPhone. How I scored my sweet tix to Duran Duran last month.

Quarrel DX - $4.99 - game - addictive word game.

One that I would recommend and that haven't seen mentioned already is iBank. It is a checkbook on the go. Has a Mac app that you can sync between the two over wifi.

YouMail will let you block callers and also assign custom messages for specific caller's numbers (called Ditch Mail ), such as "This number is no longer in service." I used a fax tone once as the assigned greeting for an unwanted caller, worked like a charm to stop the calls. Have used them for VM for years (free version). Block Unwanted Callers

    Photo Apps:
    WaterMyPhoto (free)
one of my favorites for making wallpaper
gives illusion of reflection on rippling water

    Photogene2 (60% off now)
packed with features, a mini photoshop-type app

    Camera+

    360 Panorama (50% off now)
very cool, you can shoot an entire room, landscape, etc.

    Photosynth (free)
    also does 360 shots
a plus is the start/stop markers are clearly defined in a square
a minus is it wants to hang (but then it's a Microsoft product )

    Photoforge2 (on sale now)
haven't used it much, grabbed it on sale because
it allows for working in layers

    Misc
    Birthday Express (free)
easily import from FB and Contacts
    red alert displays approaching b'days

    2Do
helpful organizer if you live by lists & post-its
(so far nothing compares to SlickTasks I had on BB )
