this is not me selling my phone. im still not 100% sure i am selling it (i still use it as an ipod).
anyway, it appears lightly used. its entire usage has been in a case to prevvent scratching and a screen protector. nothing is wrong with the phone. I can't provide pictures right now but if they are necessary I'll post later today. everything connects fine, etc. if i sell it, i would include everything that comes with an iphone except the earbuds (they are considerably used and no one would want them anyway)
what would a good selling price be?
also, off topic, i have a moto razr that is a little more heavily used, but still in perfect working condition. what should this be priced at?
Go check out ebay and your local craigslist to see what the market price is. It will all depend on the condition and also the area where you are selling it. For instance, in Delaware there aren't that many iPhone listings on craigslist so most prices are pretty firm. But if you look 40 miles north in Philly, tons more iPhone at lower prices with sellers more likely to negotiate because of the competition.
also if its jailbroken, i heard it decreases the phone's value. true or not?
Just go to Blackweather (Blackra1n) and download the app and do it yourself, it is very easy.
If you have the phone jailbroken and unlocked, it increases the value (at least here in Romania).
You have to be on 3.1.2 or lower. 3.1.3 cannot be unlocked yet. Jailbreaking and unlocking increases the value and if someone that uses AT&T doesn't want it jailbroken, the process is completely reversable. It's not like installing a different CD play in your brand new car LOL.
If you're on an iPod touch 2G or lower, then you can still jailbreak 3.1.3, but an unlock will not be possible. And knowing the devs, none of them will waste an exploit on a firmware that gives you nothing worthwhile.
turns out im most likely not selling it. my dad has a 16gb 3gs and wants to upgrade to my 32, and he would give my mother (who has an 8 gb 3g) his old 3gs...sooo what can i get for an 8 gig 3g?
