    As they say, honesty is the best policy. I like the moral of this story. I believe the Apple Store managers do have a bit of leeway when accepting warranty cases and if they like you, you might save yourself some grief and some cash.

    Not surprised. That's why I love Apple, their Customer Service IMO is the best!

    To be fair, I guess it also depends who you get at the Genius Bar or how their day is going.
