You'll want to call them first and sort out the details and for questions you

The only think i dont like about insurances like that is that they dont cover theft. do they? Ive never broken a phone, i have lost or had them stolen though.
Yeah I got 2 for both my iPhones. Good deal. I know I won't have the phone for longer than a year so I'll just cancel after a year and get half my money back or use it to boost resale value.
I would call and ask. If worse comes to worse you just restore it before you send it back. If the damage was so bad that you can't restore it, chances are they wouldn't know anyway.

Good point, but also following that logic, they wouldn't know if it was unlocked either
Yeah my concern is losing the phone but the protection plan is worth it. I usually lose my phone bc of crappy clips, now I am just going with the old fashioned phone in the pocket technique. I lost my new iPhone 3GS like 2 months ago but the upside is that I replaced it with the iPhone 4.
