Wow. From the time I opened it in my documents, to reboot, nebula looking picture and finally lock screen was only a minute.

So now what? Go to Cydia and see what strikes my fancy?

I picked up my 3GS in November, and decided to use it 'as is' for awhile.
I was happy to leave leaked O/S's, hybrids, cod files and all that other nonsense behind.

Maybe I'll read through the jailbreak and unlock sticky for ideas.

Edit: Nevermind, Cydia is installed, I just had to look for the icon, duh...

I am a bb user, but a friend of mine has an iPhone with 3.1.3. If he uses this jailbreak, does he run any risk of bricking his phone? He can't afford to be without a phone as he is on the road right now.

Are there any other downsides he may encounter?

I've already told him he needs to save his SHSH blobs first.

    Thanks.

Bricking is always a possibility, however it is rare. Backup the iphone on itunes first and then jaibreak it and have fun.

The all-in-one untethered jailbreak tool, which was released yesterday has been updated. An issue which was reported earlier where it deleted all the saved photos on the device once the jailbreak was complete has been fixed. This update to Spirit resolves error code c0000005 which some Windows users were facing.

I will update the guide in the sticky to reflect the update/fix for camera roll issues.

i think there is an update for it
Are you even reading any of these threads? The comment right before yours says there is an update for it. Or are you just trying to get enough posts to be able to post pics?
